SCHEDULE OF SHOWS, DISPLAYS AND OTHER EVENTS: May 2008

The Pier (formerly Pier 1 near the Seaside bridge) has closed. So we have a new Tuesday night cruise, starting April 22: Five Guys Burgers & Fries at the mall on Route 37 West, Toms River, where the movie theater and Ruby Tuesdays are located. Any meal bought will include a free beverage. They have great hamburgers! The cruises are scheduled for April 22 & 29 and May 6, 13, 20 & 27. The cruises may extend into June.

May 2 : History on Wheels display at Southern Regional High School. Call Denny for details and to sign up at 732-341-3582.

May 7. Vintage Automobile Club of Ocean County meeting, 7:30 pm.

May 13, Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Fountain View Care Center, 527 River Ave. (Route 9), Lakewood, near Paul Kimball Hospital. They want about 10 cars, with at least 1 car in the 1930's. Please contact Gary at TheStabiles@comcast.net or 732-255-4879 to let him know if you will be there.

May 14 : Cruising Downtown Toms River. 5:00 p.m. line-up on Hadley Ave.

Friday May 16 - The Pines at Whiting from 12 to 3 pm. The Pines at Whiting (formerly known as Keswick Pines) is located at 509 Rt. 530 and is a nursing and assisted living facility. They are celebrating "Older American's Month" and the theme is "Cruising Through the Decades" which fits in very nicely with our display. Press and radio coverage is expected and possibly even a film crew from Ocean County College. Lunch will also be provided.

May 17, Saturday, (rain date, Sunday May 18th), Brick Township High School, Class of 2010, Car Show. 10am. Trophies to be given out at 2:30. 346 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, Dash plaques to the first 100 cars. $10 Registration fee. May 21. Vintage Auto Museumof NJ meeting. 7:00 pm.

June 7 : Founders Day Parade and function in downtown Toms River.

June 7 : Sentimential Cruisers car show in Forked River.

June 7 : Olde Towne Colts Neck Classic Car Show, sponsored by the Colts Neck Business Association, with the participation of many stores. 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Rain date is June 8.

Wednesday June 11 - Christa McAuliffe Middle School at 35 South Hope Chapel Rd. (Rt. 547) in Jackson. We will meet at the Home Depot in Toms River and caravan to the school leaving at 8 am and arriving around 8:20. Parking will be in the lot directly in front of the school. Coffee and breakfast goodies will be provided. Students should begin arriving around 9 am.

Fridays - Lacey Township from 6 to 9 pm – Burger King on Rt. 9 starting March 28th
